STOP IT (Please Read!)

Puppy Mills

A very serious subject, puppy mills most stores that sell puppies are getting them from puppy mills. Puppy Mills breed dogs of all kind for their own profit and in the process neglect them and the conditions they are in. They contribute to the over population of dogs and cause their unnecessary suffering. The dogs are kept in cages all crammed together, they spend their whole life locked up  in these cages and if they are not sold they are killed. These dogs live in their own filth and are breathing unsafe air that has ammonia in it. The cages are made out of wire and have holes under them and their paws get caught in them and can cause injuries and even the loss of a leg.  They don't get any type of human interaction or medical care, many of these dogs are in desperate need of medical attention. It’s really heart breaking to see, many get infections, are not properly feed, unsanitary conditions, many injuries go untreated. They suffer many painful injuries broken jaws, rotten teeth making it hard for them to eat and expected to survive. The female dogs are bred as soon as they can and as many times till they are no longer needed. They take away their puppies prematurely, causing them genetic defects and lack of socialization. It’s estimated that more than 2.5 million puppies are sold here in the U.S each year and they all come from puppy mills. We need to stop puppy mills and help all the dogs who suffer just for profit. You shouldn't shop at small stores who sell puppies even if you are just buying food or toys. Please help stop puppy mills even if it is by being aware of not shopping at these stores.

Change.org is dedicated to giving people a voice, by giving the opportunity to make petitions for things they believe in. Its a great way to be heard and for others who have the same views or ideas help you reach your goal. It has MANY petitions on animals in need and it gives us the chance of helping even if it's just by a signature. It makes us aware of things that we may have not known before, the links above are two petitions one of them is trying to stop people from killing dogs in gas chambers. They kill them with no remorse and pile up the dead bodies as if they were trash.  By signing these petitions it spreads awareness to people and it's a step closer to making a difference. I just wanted to inform you guys  about this web site if you are not already familiar with it. You can become a member yourself and keep informed about many things not just animal abuse. If you have time please sign the petitions above it will help greatly and maybe browse around on their page. If not I will keep you guys posted on  the animal petitions I get emailed.

Hypothesis❤

Hypothesis

What brought me to my subject, animal abuse was my love for animals.  It is really rare when I don't see a dead animal on the road whether its a dog or cat and I find that very sad. Those tragic accidents could have been prevented any pet is like a child they have to be taken care of, looked after and trained. They are smarter than we think they are, but if one cant handle the responsibility of having a pet like many people cant today they shouldn't have one at all. My heart just sinks when I see abandoned animals on the streets because it makes me think of my dog and how would feel if I lost her. I would want someone to return her or take care of her while they find her home. This is why every time I see a puppy or any dog that looks like its by itself I want to take it home with me. Of course once I see that it has an owner or runs back to its home I feel better and continue my path. Many people buy pets without knowing how much work and money it really is going to be. For dogs and cats you have to buy them food, shelter, get them vaccinated (this is for dogs as far as I am aware of so they can play with other dogs and not catch any sickness), buy them toothbrush to keep their teeth clean, groom them( either take them to a pet shop or do it yourself and buy them brushes, shampoos etc.but either way it will cost money) and this is only a bit. I sometimes think my dog has it better than I do she has her dog food, snacks, and of course if she doesn't want that she can always make us give her our food. She knows who to go to and give her puppy eyes to and she gets what she wants. She has her toys and a bed to sleep on but she is that spoiled that she prefers my stuffed animals and my bed. I have seen dogs screamed at and kicked and still go back to there owners happy as if they have forgotten what has been done to them, they really have unconditional love for us. Yet many people don't have that love towards them they see them more as a hassle. This is why I wanted to bring awareness to this subject because it much worse than we can imagine and they need someone on there side to protect them. I just hope this blog will make a difference even if its really small, its a step.

Warning! Graphic!

Non-Text Media

I realize this can be a bit graphic and heartbreaking, this broke my heart when i saw it and it angered me. This is why i am posting it because even though it was hard to do so we need to not only know what is going on but see it as well. We feel sorry for these poor animals and what happens to them but many of us will later just forget about it and not do anything to help them. We need to do more than just feel sorry for them and not just throw money at the problem either. Money does help with resources needed but we need to truly  care they are living animals that went and are going through unimaginable pain. They don't deserve to be treated like this and left there dead as if they are worth nothing. I own a dog  and i love her to death and she may annoy me as if she were my little sister but that doesn't mean i am going to mistreat her or even worse kill her. They are part of the family they need our attention, love, and loyalty as they give us that right back. This is the fate of so many animals because there owner are careless, cruel , and just plain disgusting. If they cant handle having a dog or any animal that requires care, time, and love which is every animal they should not have got one in the first place.

Stop Animal Abuse ❤

Stop Animal Abuse

Stop Animal Abuse a blog that I found on blogspot.com that deals with animal abuse and trying to stop it. It has not recently been updated but it has very heart breaking and just right disturbing stories. It has videos, pictures, articles and poems informing us on these tragic events that we should  all be aware of. One of her post is about a women beating a bulldog that was only a puppy. She was caught on video and it wasn't the first time this defenseless puppy had been abused. In the period of seven months this bulldog has been taken to the veterinarian twelve times! The bulldog had a fractured hip, broken teeth, and his right eye was so injured that he became mostly blind. This is just one of many things this blogger has posted and this post is nothing compared to many of the other stories. Veola  has many followers and they all speak out on these heartless acts and with the power of the internet this blog and many others will put all these criminals on blast for the world to see. Maybe this way there will be justice and there death would not have been in vain. Its hard to see some things but if we can never confront it and know what is going on we will not be able to help the abused animals. They don't have a voice and we need to be their voice this blog and many others as well as mine can do just that we need to stop feeling sorry and take action. ❤
